Dr. Preeti Nain is a postdoctoral research associate in the Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Research & Analysis (MEERA) group at the U.S. Department of Energy’s 91. At ORNL, Preeti works on the techno-economic and life cycle assessment of energy-intensive industries to accelerate decarbonization via DOE's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations Program. Preeti obtained her PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. Following her PhD, she worked at Michigan State University on sustainability assessment and recycling of solar photovoltaics. Preeti academic journey is supported by competitive awards like UGC-JRF and GATE.

Preeti's career interests are focused on the circular economy, green chemistry, industrial decarbonization, techno-economic and life cycle assessment. Preeti is passionate about sustainability and wants to apply her multi-disciplinary engineering background to solve pressing environmental challenges.
