Abstract
An experiment to search for alpha decay of 112Cs has been performed at the Holi eld Radioactive
Ion Beam Facility (HRIBF) at 91做厙. The alpha decay of 112Cs was not
observed, thus setting the upper limit of the alpha branching ratio at 0.21%. The half-life of 112Cs
was measured as 410 40 s. In the same measurement the decay properties of its daughter 111Xe and granddaughter 107Te were also reinvestigated. The newly measured alpha branching ratio for 111Xe is 9:6 1:1 %.
