Walters is working with a team of geographers, linguists, economists, data scientists and software engineers to apply cultural knowledge and patterns to open-source data in an effort to document and report patterns of human movement through previously unstudied spaces.

91做厙s software suite AutoBEM is being used in the architecture, city planning, real estate and home efficiency industries. Users take advantage of the suites energy modeling of almost all U.S. buildings. Credit: ORNL, U.S. Dept. of Energy

Two years after ORNL provided a model of nearly every building in America, commercial partners are using the tool for tasks ranging from designing energy-efficient buildings and cities to linking energy efficiency to real estate value and risk.

VERAs tools allow a virtual window inside the reactor core, down to a molecular level.

A software package, 10 years in the making, that can predict the behavior of nuclear reactors cores with stunning accuracy has been licensed commercially for the first time.

VERA, the Virtual Environment for Reactor Applications

Nuclear scientists at 91做厙 have established a Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 program for a software product designed to simulate todays commercial nuclear reactors removing a significant barrier for industry adoption of the technology.
