Revealing the Role of Caged Cations in Hybrid Perovskites

Using samples synthesized at CNMS, a combination of neutron scattering, x-ray scattering, and density functional calculations shows that disordering of the large organic cations in hybrid perovskites is crucial and beneficial for their optoelectronic properties.
