Researchers at ORNL and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory took inspiration from flying insects to  a miniaturized gyroscope, a special sensor used in navigation technologies.

ORNL and The University of Toledo have entered into a memorandum of understanding for collaborative research.

Layering on the strength

A team including 91做厙 and University of Tennessee researchers demonstrated a novel 3D printing approach called Z-pinning that can increase the materials strength and toughness by more than three and a half times compared to conventional additive manufacturing processes.

Desalination process

A new method developed at 91做厙 improves the energy efficiency of a desalination process known as solar-thermal evaporation.
